Simple lemon herb chicken

The tanginess of the lemon herb adds a new dimension of taste to any preparation. Chicken made with lemon herb taste particularly delicious and unusual.

 Simple lemon herb chicken


  • Italian seasoning 2 table spoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard powder- ½ tea spoon
  • Black pepper grounded freshly
  • 3 pound of whole chicken
  • Olive oil 2 tablespoon
  • 2 lemons

Preheat the oven at 350 degree Celsius and combine all the seasoning. Rinse the chicken thoroughly and rub it with the seasoning and keep it aside to marinade for 1 hour at least. Also, remove the giblets from the chicken. Place the chicken on a baking dish. Sprinkle it with the Italian seasoning.

Juice the two lemons and combine it with olive oil by beating it vigorously in a small bowl. Drizzle this over the chicken. Bake the chicken in a preheated oven until the juices that come out from it are clear. This should take 1 ½ hours. Serve the dish hot along with any main course.
