Chicken in basil sauce

Use of herbs in cooking has always been the best way to add nutrients to your food. The basil in particular is notable for the variety of health benefits that it possesses.

Chicken in basil sauce


Coriander leaves- ½ cup
Basil leaves- ½ cup
Chicken breast- 4
Onions- 1 chopped
Garlic- 2 cloves
Ginger- minced 1 teaspoon
White vinegar- 4 tablespoon
Salt, sugar and pepper to taste


Make the basil sauce by grinding the basil leaves, coriander leaves, 2-3 cloves of garlic and little salt together and making a thick paste. Then cut the chicken breast meat into cubes which are approximately 4 inches. 9in a frying pan, add olive oil, chopped garlic, ginger, chicken cube and fry it such that the chicken becomes tender. Add the vinegar, basil sauce, salt and pepper and if needed, water as well and make thick gravy. Close the lid and let the chicken cook thoroughly in the gravy for 15 minutes at least.
